What you will learn

Over a period of 6-7 consecutive days, you will learn to control the glider for launching, in-flight and landing safely. You will keep on practicing for 10-15 flights and if there’s additional time for more, we will continue to coach you to fly as many as possible as part of the course. Below are some example training videos :

1. Ground Handling

Controlling the glider from an open field. This task takes about 60% of the training duration and the most difficult part of the training. Below is an example of Ground Handling session.

2. Launching

Launching training is performed once you are capable of handling the Ground Handling well and it will be conducted at a training hill. Launching is often the most nervous part of the training but after a few launches, you will feel easier to perform the subsequent ones. Below is an example of launching practice sessions.

3. Landing

Landing practice will be done together with launching practice, this is often the easiest part of the training. Below is an example of landing practice sessions.

Which month is suitable to learn

For best outcome and maximising the flyable window, we recommend the training sessions to be from March until October when the weather is more dry throughout the days and wind condition is smoother to make it easier for you to learn.

Certification of training.

Upon successful completion of the training, you will be issued with a Student Pilot certification that will allow you to continue paragliding at all flying sites in Southeast Asia that are designated for beginners. At this level you are not yet considered an independent pilot, means that your subsequent flights after this training still requires supervision of an instructor to advice your pre-flight wind conditions and ensuring that you are safe throughout the activity.

Normally it will take an average of 40 flights before you will be able to perform all launching, soaring and landing sequences with minimal supervision and considered as ready to progress to the next stage for obtaining your full international pilot license. Obtaining a pilot license is the first step to start flying independently anywhere in the world.

There are two (2) options to do this :-

1. By taking the course first for SG$1,500 and then later procuring the equipment when you are ready.
2. We have a Equipment Combo package, complete set of certified and well tested paragliding equipment for SG$5,200
3. If you decides to procure the equipment together with the training package, we are offering a special package at SG$6,500 (SG$200 discount)
